A wonderful idea for residents of nursing homes, who may not be able to remember where they put their glasses once they put them down.
I made some for my Mum who has Alzheimer's and they have been a saving grace. Now we dont have to keep hunting for them, or buying new glasses. If the staff find them, they know where they belong.

To me this is a wave, with the circles representing currents and eddies. The Blue Opal cabochons are little air bubbles raising to the surtace and the fringe is the seagrasses on the seabed hiding a variety of sealife. The Swarovski crystals reminiscent of the flashes of colour as small fish swim by. Wirelace forms smaller waves on the surface of the sea.
But to a sister in law it looks like a bird and a friend thinks it is a dolphin jumping out of the water.

A "one off" Swarovski crystal, Japanese Delica seedbeads, Sterling silver Sea Creature charms and Wirelace Bib
108 (3mm-6mm) Swarovski crystals in Sapphire, Silk and Blue Zircon in both faceted rounds and bicones, 7 sterling silver sea life charms including Starfish, Seahorse, Angle Fish, Nautilus and clam shells, 4 Presciosa Blue Zircon teardrop crystals, 6 Blue Opal cabochons and hundreds of hand stitched Japanese Delica seedbeads in Blue, Turquoise and Champagne tones form this bib and fringe style necklace.
The bib is backed with black ultra suede and finished with black round seedbeads. Galvanised Fuchsia Delicas add highlights on both the bib and fringe.
(Please note some galvanised seedbeads may not be colourfast - treat gently).
The necklace component is Crystal threaded Ernite green & Tanzanite Wirelace supported by silver memory wire. A blue satin ribbon ties at the back of the neck and Ernite green Wirelace strands with Blue Zircon crystals add interest. Hand stitched seedbeads in Turquoise tones form the "beadcones" from which the ribbon falls.
The bib is approx 12cm x 16cm (including the fringe). The Memory wire section of the necklace is approx 36.5cm and can be extended with the satin ribbon. Although this design has lots of elements it only weights approx 74grams.
This piece took many, many hours to create.
It was a "One off" creation which will not be repeated.
