About Me
I’m a Western Australian Designer creating unique and individual items from “fun'n'funky” to “classic”
I love colour and light. I have studied Colour Therapy using the Aura Soma System to the Advanced Level. Colour through its various forms can benefit the physical, mental and spiritual states. I have included some information on Colour and Chakras on this site.
Working with colours through the various Glass Beads, Gemstones and Crystals is exciting. I am constantly experimenting with, adapting new techniques into my designs and using a wide variety of materials to create just the right "look".
I have always had an interest in arts and crafts and have dabbled in many forms including leadlight, folk art, macramé, Batik, sewing, knitting, crochet, scrapbooking and during my 25+ years of working in Children's Services I have tried many media styles (some more successful than others).
It was my first beading lesson though (in 2003) that really got me hooked and I have had the beading bug ever since. I love the ever expanding variety of mediums to choose from and meeting such a wide and diverse group of people with a similar interest and passion. I would like to add PMC to the list so keep an eye out for that page in the future.
I occasionally sell at local Markets, Fairs,Exhibitions and other Events. If you wish to know the location and date of the next one, or to arrange a meeting to discuss a custom-made item or to view a particular piece, please contact me.

Additional Information
Our home/studio is smoke free. Our old dog Bud is a faithful companion and chickens roam the back yard, which has fruit and vegetable gardens based on permaculture principles (a holistic philosophy that continues indoors).
Left - a picture of some of the back yard gardens. This is the new version - with "no-dig" raised gardens. We are still debating on what to use for the paths...
Our front yard is home to many frogs, fish (Trout or Barramundi) and aquatic plants (both food and flowering) similar to the aquaponics system.
We live on the edge of a Natural Reserve surrounding a lake and are visited by many birds and wildlife such as turtles, snakes, bandicoots and parrots (some more welcome than others). This reserve is currently under threat. See here for details. Above - one of the ponds in the front yard
It is this wonderful and soul nourishing environment that I create my designs and make them with the Love and Care that I wish you to receive.
If you like what you see - tell others. If there's a problem - tell me.
Regards
Maxine Clarke
